Apply to Graduate

Apply for graduation the term you will complete all your requirements, regardless of when you will walk in the Commencement ceremony.

Application Deadlines
To graduate Spring Term (June 2010) — Last day to apply is February 22, 2010, 5pm
To graduate Summer Term (August 2010) — Last day to apply is May 17, 2010, 5pm

Submitting Your Graduation Application

  1. Schedule an appointment with:

    • You can meet in person or by phone
    • Review your Educational Degree Program together
    • Make sure you can complete all requirements in time
    • Sign your application before sending it.
  2. Pay the application fee
    • Take or send the application and your payment to Barb Fournier:

After You Apply
The Office of the Registrar will review your Educational Degree Program to verify that you have satisfied all requirements. Your degree or certificate will be officially awarded on the last date of the term for which you applied to graduate, and we will mail your diploma to the address indicated on your Graduation Application.

Diplomas are generally mailed within a month following the end of the term. Because of the large number of June graduates, diplomas for Spring term may take up to two months. Diplomas are not given out at the Commencement ceremony.

Please note that we cannot issue your diploma if you have an outstanding balance with the Student Accounts Office, an overdue library book or a library fine.

Caps & Gowns

Caps and gowns can be purchased from the Marylhurst Bookstore starting April 16 through Commencement day. http://bookstore.marylhurst.edu/home.aspx
