Eileen Franzese Schiffer is an Industrial Organizational Psychologist with primary interest and expertise in the areas of Leadership, Motivation, Organizational Behavior, Career Management, and Change Management. She earned her Ph.D. at the University of South Florida. Her doctoral research focused on the development of a model and a measure of resistance to change.
Dr. Schiffer has been a corporate trainer and career coach for over 15 years. She has developed and managed career planning programs and resource centers, implemented skills inventory and management succession programs, and counseled individuals at all organizational levels during voluntary and involuntary career transitions. Her most recent work and current passion are in the domain of adult education – specifically online education. She currently teaches undergraduate and graduate Business, Psychology and College Success courses for several universities.
In addition to her instructor roles, she develops curriculum for multiple courses, trains and mentors new faculty, and reviews peer faculty work – all roles that allow her to contribute to and promote best practice in the field of online adult education.
Dr. Schiffer lives in sunny Florida, has four wonderful children, and actively works to balance each rewarding area of her life.
