Adjunct Faculty
Ms. Schiffer has been a career counselor and corporate trainer for nearly 20 years and is passionate about helping her clients realize their career and life goals. She has a BA in Psychology with a minor in Organizational Communications, and an MA in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. Ms. Schiffer has worked in a career-planning function at several Fortune 100 companies, developing and facilitating career management workshops, counseling individuals in their goal-setting processes, and implementing skills inventory and management succession programs.
Currently, she works for an international career services firm assisting individuals who are in career transition due to corporate downsizing. In this role she provides self-assessments which include recognition of transferable skills, personal motivations, marketing plans, networking, communication skills, and interview preparation. She also teaches graduate and undergraduate Business, Psychology, and Career Development classes on campus and online for several universities.
