MBA 558: Investment and Portfolio Management

In this course students will examine the differences between real and financial assets and understand the role of the investment analyst. Financial markets are engines of economic innovation, offering a range of investment vehicles for firms and individual investors. Topics include portfolio theory, capital markets, fixed-income securities, and derivatives. Students will evaluate the trade-offs between risk and return in efficient markets.
