Program helps nonprofits build websites

Nonprofits, such as charitable and public arts organizations, will soon be able to receive help spreading their messages and achieving their goals free of charge.

E-Biz Services' eBizWebpages.com recently announced that beginning June 30, the website builder will help nonprofit organizations design and manage their online presences.

As a part of eBizWebpages.com's new initiative, a different nonprofit will be chosen every three months to receive one year's worth of free website services, including management, hosting and domain name registration.

"Today, every business needs a website if it's to compete and be successful," said Craig Stevens, vice president for business development at eBizWebpages.com. "We believe the same is true for nonprofits."

In order to be eligible for the free web services, nonprofits must submit an application before June 30, 2011, with the first recipient to be announced on July 31 at the latest. These organizations must also be involved in community activities that are related to education, housing, social services or healthcare.

The nonprofits' websites will be designed by eBizWebpages professionals and will not include third-party advertising.
