Taco Bell launches fundraiser

Individuals who have an interest in the business of making a positive difference in people's lives may want to pursue a nonprofit MBA degree. Many companies establish philanthropic organizations in order to give back to their customers.

For instance, the Taco Bell Foundation for Teens is a nonprofit public benefit corporation that is dedicated to preventing students from dropping out of high school. This extension of the Mexican fast food chain has donated more than $28 million to the Boys and Girls Clubs of America since 1995.

The foundation recently announced the launch of its Graduate To Go fundraiser, which will run from April 7 through 21 at participating Taco Bell restaurants that will match customer contributions up to $1 million.

This campaign is designed to promote the importance of staying in school, and is receiving help from actor and producer Mark Wahlberg, who serves as the fundraiser's ambassador.

According to Wahlberg, "the real-world experiences, scholarships and grants this fundraiser makes possible are life-changing for these teens, and the generous donations are truly helping to make a difference in America's drop-out crisis."
